The brief: The owners wanted the feeling of a resort day bed at home — somewhere to lie half in the water with a drink, all summer long.
What we built: A generous tanning shelf sized for a pair of in-water loungers, stepped down into a full-depth pool with a wide bench. A paver deck with a checkerboard inlay frames the lounge zone.
The tech: A Hayward heat pump extends the season into the cooler months, and salt sanitization keeps the water soft for long soaks.
